Happy New Year!

We’re back from vacation and done getting caught up on holiday orders! Thanks so much for your patience during this time.

It turns out that I did not even log in to the computer during our whole week at sea, so I did not blog our trip as I had intended. Here are some pictures from our vacation: www.studio-je.com/vacation.

For Studio JE, we start off the new year with a new look! You’ll notice our main splash page at http://www.studio-je.com has a new look, and our website has been revamped at www.studio-je.com/main.html. The new site offers client proofing galleries, so after your next session, you’ll be able to come online, view your proofs and place your order directly through the proofing gallery! No more jotting down proof #s and sizes.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and my best wishes go out to everyone for peace, prosperity and happiness in the new year. Blessings to you all ~ Joy

Think Pink!

Last Saturday, I had the honor of participating in Escape Salon and Spa’s fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  My good friend Ami was there to help support her daughter Tammy, who is a stylist there and a driving force behind this fundraiser.  Ami will walk later this month in the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk at the state capitol.  She is my hero and if you are looking for someone to pledge for this great cause, please let me know and I’ll get you in touch with her!

Here are the fabulous ladies at Escape Salon… They donated 4 hours out of their Saturday for free haircuts, deep conditioning treatments, eyebrow and lip waxes and pink polish!  All tips went toward the fundraiser.  How generous is that!  Drop by there if you are looking for a new stylist or esthetician… you can’t go wrong!

More to come this week… I owe a full slideshow to Leigh and a preview at least to Nina… The holiday season has begun and is in full swing!  Gotta love the insanity!

New lens!

I am so excited to share that I got a new “toy” — the Canon 24-70L lens.  This is an amazing piece of glass.  I’ve got several shoots lined up over the next couple of weekends but here is just a quick shot of Sarah that I took yesterday when I got the lens…

Rest in peace, dear Bill…

As you read below, I attended my high school reunion last weekend.  This morning, I was devastated to find out that a classmate was killed in a plane crash yesterday.  This was a very dear man, the nicest of nice… and I will cherish the opportunity I had to catch up with him just 5 days ago… He leaves behind a wife and three children.  Please join me in sending prayers to his family.
